Lillian Too's Feng Shui Space Clearing Kit

Yesterday after my gym session I went to a bookstore nearby my fitness center and bought a copy of Lillian Too’s Feng Shui Space Clearing Kit.

The kit contains three Chinese ingot shaped sandalwood incense, fifteen Nepalese stick incense, a tàijí shaped incense burner, a singing bowl, a small cushion for holding the bowl, a wooden mallet and an instruction booklet.

I bought this kit for RM34.90, a bargain consider it actually costs USD$29.95 in the States.

I just had to giggle when I came across the passage in the booklet about the spiritual ability of Yap Cheng Hai, Ms. Too’s master, concerning his conversation with mummies in the British Museum. I wonder what language he used when converse with the mummies, would that be Middle Egyptian? If so, how would he vocalize “m Htp, anx(w), uDA(w), snb(w)”?

Anyway, regardless what you might think about Lillian Too or fēngshuĭ, as a reviewer in amazon.com stated, it is the singing bowl that makes this kit well worth buying. The sound created by the bowl is soothing and beautiful, great for stress relief.

A side note: The word fengshui should not be spelt with a space in between the two syllables, i.e *feng shui. When writing pinyin Chinese words, the structures of two or more syllables that indicate a complete concept are linked together. The initial f in fengshui is spelt in minuscule when not appear as the first letter in a sentence.

封面人物

上個星期，接到了一通本地某本娛樂雜誌週刊的電話，索取我個人資料，說是我被選為該雜誌的封面人物。

一聽到這通電話的時候，第一個反應就是不可置信，我可沒有把我的照片和資料寄給這份雜誌啊﹗後來，才知道是認識的一個攝影師把我的照片送去的。這名攝影師很早之前就說要把我的照片送去的，只是在上個星期的時候才交給那份娛樂週刊。之後這名攝影師告訴我兩個星期前就發短訊告訴我把照片交去了，可是或許是電話通訊線路的問題，我不記得有收過這則短訊。

雖說是封面人物，其實是在雜誌的內頁，不是真正的雜誌封面。最新一期的這份雜誌在昨天出版了，也刊登了我的照片。

如果你在這個星期的某份娛樂週刊看到某個人提起某個土耳其名人，那某個人可能就是我，哈哈﹗
