Fon language resources online

Fon or Fongbe (Fɔngbe) is a language that belongs to the Niger-Congo family. It is chiefly spoken in Benin and Nigeria. In Benin, more than half of the population can speak Fon, while in Nigeria, it is spoken in the south-eastern part.

There are very few online resources available for the learner of the Fon language. Fon is Fun is one of the best websites available, covering not only the language, but also contains large amount of information on Beninese cultures. This website is a must for anyone interested in Fon language.

Another excellent website on Fon language is the French language website la Langue Fongbe du B
énin. This linguistic website contains extensive Fon grammar, phrasebook, vocabulary, dictionary and other useful information on the language. The webmaster also has websites on theVezo language of Madagascar and Aja language of Benin.
