Basic Bukhori Lessons Online
In another sleepless night, while browsing through various language learning websites, I accidentally found a series of lessons in basic Bukhori language.
Bukhori, also known as Bukharian or Bukharic is a Judæo-Persian language, spoken by the Jewish community in the former Central Asian Emirate of Bukhara.
The basic Bukhori course is presented in Latin script, and divided into 7 clear and easy lessons, covering from numbers to the conjugations of simple present tense and past indefinite tense. It seems that the lessons have not been updated for quite sometimes, although there is a Bukharian Language Online Forum, the forum is mostly inactive.
Since Bukhori is a variant of Persian (with a large number of Hebrew loan words, sometimes the Hebraic Hashem and Persian Xuda are used interchangeably), those who have a working knowledge of Persian would find working through the lessons is a breeze.
Hopefully the lessons will be updated and more sections on verbs and idiomatic expressions will be added.
